Start a room, send the link, and play, pause and skipping around stay in sync for everyone. Even if your friends are on someone else's host. There's a little chat floating over the movie too.
Everyone gets their own Continue watching, list and history. Kids get a kids' mode with age limits that actually hold, even when a title has no rating.
The "previously on", the opening, the ending and the credits are marked on every episode. Skip each with one tap, or switch them to skip on their own. Then Up next plays the same version of the next episode, not some random file.
Pick 720p Compatible, Balanced or Highest Quality and that's it. SeaNama grabs a file your device can actually play, drops hardsubs and dubs you don't want, and if one won't start, it tries the next by itself.
Friends join with three words and a number. Your debrid key never leaves the server, and you can kick anyone out with one tap.
Pick the languages you watch in once and they lead everywhere: subtitles in your language at the top of the list, audio that stays the one you chose, and dubs you didn't ask for left out. Right-to-left scripts display properly, and old subtitle files with odd encodings don't turn into gibberish.

On Windows it's built on mpv, so 10-bit video, Dolby and DTS just play, and anime subtitles keep their fancy styling. On Linux it uses mpv too, when it's installed.

The app is, with no ads. What costs money is the debrid service (TorBox, Real-Debrid and so on), same as with Stremio. If you join someone's instance, that's on them.
A debrid service is a paid online service that fetches files for you and streams them back over a normal, fast link. SeaNama plays through one rather than downloading anything itself. If you're joining someone, they've already got it sorted.
Just your email address. You sign in with a code we email you, no password. It keeps your profiles, library and where you stopped on every device, and on every instance that allows SeaNama accounts, and you join each instance with an invite only once. Make one at accounts.seanama.com, or right in the app.

Yep. SeaNama speaks the same addon language as Stremio. Your host adds them once and everyone gets them.
Yes. Sign in to Stremio from inside SeaNama and your library comes over, with where you stopped. Your Stremio password only goes to Stremio, never to your host.

It's their server, so they can see who's on it and what's been watched there, like sharing any account. They can't see your passwords.
It's made for family and close friends, never strangers. How many can share one debrid account depends on the service: TorBox allows family and friends, while Real-Debrid and some others are one person per account, so there each person needs their own key.
No. It works with the same addons, but it's its own app built from scratch, and it has nothing to do with the Stremio company.
SeaNama is a player, like any other. It doesn't host, index or link to any movies or shows, and it comes with no addons. What it plays comes from the addons and services you or your host set up, so it's on you to only watch what you have the right to, where you live. The Terms of Use have the details.
